EXCITING NEWS!

well my dear friends, it’s with the most joy and anticipation that I can tell you my big secret that I’ve been holding onto for a few weeks now: Brian and I are getting Married!

After a long conversation at the very beginning of December, Brian and I decided we are ready to take the big leap! A few days later, I had ordered my rings. Thanks to ETSY, I was able to find a very lovely set of  rings that personalized just to my liking. They are very simple & rustic- and I must tell you that it seems like the LONGEST wait ever. But within 2 weeks, I should have my rings. The “engagement” part of the ring is composed of 3 actual rings that stack neatly together. The actual “band” is a lovely sterling silver with a pattern the seller calls a “Renaissance” pattern. I’m so in love with them- I cannot wait until they arrive.

It has been SOOOO hard not telling anyone about this lovely secret of ours. My rings wouldn’t arrive for a little over a month, and it was really important for Brian to ask for my dad’s permission. So until one of those two things happens, we decided to keep it under wraps. A few select people know (because I was so excited…), but it’s really important to me that my family be the first to find out. (Or, close to the first, like I said it’s been a few weeks, and seriously the HARDEST secret to keep ever!) So, today, Brian made plans to stop by my dad’s shop before he headed to work.

As far as the wedding…. we want to keep it as simple as possible. And since we really don’t have ANY money right now, and have so much going on this year (full time school & full time jobs) we decided we are not going to have an actual “wedding.” Plus, brian & I are anything but traditional, so we are taking a few key elements, and mix it up a bit.

This next year shall be our best yet.  ❤
